Dr. Martens owes a debt to the millions of people, thousands of bands, hundreds of individuals and dozens of subcultures that have championed our boots during the near-five decades since the 1460 first rolled off the production line.

To say thank you, FREEDM has been created to give opportunities to today’s emerging talent.

So far we’ve given new bands the chance to play in London, Manchester, New York, California and Ibiza, supporting bands like The Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, and Dirty Pretty Things; we’ve supported spoken word projects in San Francisco; and exhibited artists in New York and Tokyo; created a performance studio at the Roundhouse in Camden, London. The list goes on.
